June Kathryn Sanders, 80, of Marion passed away November 29, 2022, at Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.
June was born on November 8, 1942, in Akin, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Sylvia Elizabeth (Summers) Walters. She retired from the Duane Arnold Energy Center in Palo. June enjoyed gardening crocheting, and bird watching. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include four daughters Shannon Harvieux of Marion, Sheri Crighton, Christine Kelly, and Charley Sanders all of Cedar Rapids, six grandchildren Spencer Harvieux, Lauren Spicher, Zoey Crighton, Seth Crighton, Anna Kelly, and Drew Oldorf, and three great grandchildren Bodhi Spicher, Karmen Crighton, and Delilah Crighton.
Preceding her in death were her parents, sister Betty, and brothers Ronald, Kirby, and Dale.
Celebration of Life on December 9, 2022, from 4-6 PM at Brosh Chapel, 2121 Bowling Street Southwest, Cedar Rapids.
