Debra Linn Anderson

Debra Linn Anderson went to be with Jesus suddenly but peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on May 16, 2022. Deb was born on February 27, 1957 and raised by her parents Bill and Shirlee Sitterle in Des Moines, Iowa; where she graduated from North High School in 1975.

Deb worked at several different occupations with her last career being a Food Service Employee for the Des Moines Public School District. She retired in 2014.

Deb enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially making memories with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed history and watching documentaries. Most of her time was spent being the best Nana to her grandchildren. She cherished all the little moments life had to offer.

She met the love of her life on an airplane in December 1988. They were married on June 9, 1990 and made many memories going on trips, to concerts, and watching movies.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Bill and Shirlee, sister Diedre, and nephew Matthew.

Those left to honor her memory are; loving husband, Merv Anderson; daughters, Laura Stearns and Megan Stearns-Zuniga (Ricardo); grandchildren, Abby, Aaron (A.J) , Grace, Isaac and Bella; brother Mark Sitterle (Angela); cousin, Julie Gamble (Randy); Sissy Diana Collins; longtime friend Jana McDonald and many nieces and nephews.

Her compassion and sweet spirit will be remembered always.

The Celebration of Life will be an open house celebration, please come and go as you are able. We also ask that you wear bright colors to represent her bright spirit.
