Robert L. Enyart

Robert L. Enyart, 93, died peacefully at the Good Samaritan home in Postville, Iowa on March 18, 2022. Bob chose to be cremated. There will be a private family service at a later date. 

He was born on February 12, 1929, to Hollis and Velma Enyart. He graduated from Postville High School in 1947. On August 26, 1951, Bob was married to Glenna Jarmes at the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville. To this union 2 sons and a daughter were born, Charles, Catherine, and Christopher. 

Bob was a farmer and loved the farming life. He especially enjoyed field work where he spent many hours in a tractor. He also loved going to all the activities of his grandchildren and followed the articles in the newspapers of his great grandchildren. He loved watching the Iowa Hawkeyes on TV or any sporting event. 

Surviving are his children, Charles (Dennis) Enyart of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Catherine (Kermit) White of Postville, Iowa, Christopher (Kelly) Enyart of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 5 grandchildren Jennifer (Quentin) Schutte of Luana, Iowa, Jeremiah (Jessica) White of West Union, Iowa, Kim (Ryan) Enyart of Aztec, New Mexico, Scott Allen and Amanda Enyart of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great- grandchildren Jasmine (Carter) Snitker, Hannah and Summer Schutte, JT and Kaden Stocker, and Khloe Schutte, Kaleb, Kyler, and Kendrick White, Ryanne, Ryan, and Hunter Enyart, and a great-great-granddaughter coming in May of this year. Also surviving are 3 brothers-in-law, Jim and Dorothy Jarmes of Postville, Jack and Janet Jarmes of Wisconsin, and Jon Jarmes of Pasadena, California.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Glenna, Sister Mary and her husband Myrten Strong, and sister Ellen Schroeder, his brother-in-law Jay Jarmes and his wife Lucy, 2 nieces Julie Jarmes and Cindy Strong, and 3 nephews Alan and Cale Jarmes and Randy Schroeder.
