Donna "Subie" Long
Donna "Subie" Long, 74, passed away Sunday January 30, 2022, following extended health issues. There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Tin-Roof Hideaway (formally Regal Crown) in Lisbon, Iowa.
Donna was born on November 18, 1947, in Lisbon, Iowa to Donald "Pete" Pieper and Florence "Johnny" Johnson Pieper. She attended Mt. Vernon High School. She married L. Ray Long in November 1976. Donna worked for Hawkeye Rubber Manufacturing and then Rockwell Collins, retiring in 2011.
Donna was beloved by her family, and she would help anyone however she could. Always offering to sit and listen or inviting you to come in and "have a beer". She enjoyed travelling, camping, and hosting friends and family.
Survivors include her significant other Jim Bisbee of Lisbon, daughter Melissa (Brad) Walsh of Marion, son Ken (Marsha) Long of West Point, daughter-in-law Susan (Kent) Long of Missouri, grandchildren, Melissa, Sara, Noah, Nicole, Kimmie, Casey, Lindsey, Sonya, niece Michelle (Tom) Smith of Oklahoma, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Ray Long, and sons Kent and Kim Long.
