David was born in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, on October 27, 1951, where he set the record for longest baby. He was baptized into the RLDS Church and enjoyed being a Boy Scout and a member of his youth church group. As he grew older with lifelong friend, Ed Dunbar, he showed livestock as a 4H member before graduating in 1970. After graduation he moved to Omaha, NE, where he received his certification as an auto mechanic. He was married in 1977 where he gained a son, Danny, and later that year another son, David, was born. Tiny started his lifelong career of driving a truck hauling cattle. This career took him all over the country and had him move and settle in Colorado Springs, CO. James Callahan “Boomer” quickly became another great friend of David’s and shared many stories of traveling the country together. David enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, playing cards, gaming and spending time with friends and family. David moved to Clarinda, IA, in 1998 to be closer to his son, David, and his family. He later retired from driving and enjoyed talking with driving buddies and spending time with newfound gaming friends. David had a wonderful heart and would give anything to help anyone in need. His witty sense of humor and wonderful smile will be greatly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
