Harold Floyd Edwards

Harold Floyd Edwards was born October 23, 1933, in Moulton, Appanoose County, Iowa, son of Floyd and Lois Scott Edwards. Harold was united in marriage to Kolene Kay (Dietrich) Fay on September 1, 1977, at Elk Meadows, Colorado.  He grew up in southern Iowa and pursued his career as a farmer and later an Independent Owner/Operator truck driver for many years.

After moving to Colorado, Harold’s career followed a new path in the oil industry.  He worked for several Oil Companies including Pease Oil and Gas and Sam Gerry, starting as a roustabout working his way up to a supervisory position, and later a consultant.

Harold loved traveling and seeing nearly all of the continental United States.  Traveling and camping in Harold’s beloved fifth-wheel camper with wife, Kolene was his most treasured hobby.  After retirement, Harold and Kolene worked for the Colorado Rockies baseball team during Spring Training in Tucson, Arizona for several years where they enjoyed meeting new people.
Harold died Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Brooklyn Community Estates, Brooklyn, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Kolene of Montezuma, Ia; one son, Scott (Kat) Chincoteague, Va; one daughter, Kim (Jeff) Pfantz, Ladora, Ia; stepchildren, Jeannine Scandridge, Victor, Ia; Steven Fay (Greta), Denver, Co; and Jana Barker (Scott), Loveland, Co. He had 6 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren. Siblings Ralph Edwards, Malacha Hall, and Rachel Morrow survive Harold.

His parents; two sons Marvin and Gary (Mike), and siblings Mary Ann Mills and Hazel Strever preceded Harold in death.
