Charles A. Serbousek

Charles A. Serbousek, 66, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. 

He was born on July 10, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Henry “Hank” and Shirley (Kovar) Serbousek. He retired from International Paper, formerly Weyerhaeuser in November of 2021 after 45 years of service. Chuck loved music, he played guitar and was a member of a band in his younger years. He was a diehard Beatles fan. His favorite pastimes included fishing, woodworking, and cheering on the Hawks and Steelers. 

Survivors include his father, Hank Serbousek; siblings, Michael Serbousek, Karen (Mike) Becker all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Julie (Ricky) Schropp of Swisher, Iowa; nieces, Corissa, Sara Katie; nephew, Kyle; companion, Sandy Mueller, her daughter, Kimm Epperson along with her daughters, Alyssa and Averi who looked up to Chuck as “grandpa”. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
