Sherman Scott Gaulden
Sherman Scott Gaulden, 54, passed away Tuesday December 13, 2022 at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids, after battling infections from a car accident back on September 5. Per Sherman’s wishes he was cremated. Services will be held at a later date in Texarkana, Arkansas, where he will be laid to rest with his family.
Sherman was born on December 18, 1967 in California. A year after he was born his parents moved to Atkins, Arkansas, where he went to school and graduated in 1986. After graduating high school, he joined the US Army and served 4 years. During his time in the Army, he married Trisha Fultz and they had 2 sons and then later divorced in 1992. In 1994, he met Tiffany Duggan in Tupleo, Mississippi. They moved to Iowa in June of 1996, then they got married on October 18, 1996. After 17 years, they divorced in December 5, 2013. But they remained good friends over the years. Sherman then moved to Cedar Rapids where he lived the last 9 years. Sherman enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking, walking, hiking, swimming, being outdoors and loved his Cowboys team and his pets.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Scott and Steven; sister in-law, Brandy Gaulden of Texas; 3 nephews; 1 niece and many friends.
Preceded him in death were his parents, Sherman Gaulden Sr. and Peggy Gaulden; sister, Lei Ann Gaulden and little brother, Stephen Gaulden.
