Shelley Evelyn Kane
Shelley Evelyn Kane, 53, of Ankeny, Iowa, joined her heavenly father on 12/24/2022 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She was born to Eugene Merle Kane & Karna Mae Kane (Peterson) on 1/23/1969 in Webster City, Iowa.
Shelley is survived by her 4 sons, Dustin (Debbie) Steim, Elisha (Michaela) Long, Anthony (Chelsie) Jackson, & Alexx Jackson, her lifelong best friend Norman Sean Jackson, her brother Jeff Kane, & 8 grandchildren Jaime, Aidan, Joshua, Lilee, Rosalina, Teriyah, Taliyah, & Anthony Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael Kane, and her sister Heidi Kane.
Shelley’s greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed hosting get togethers at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Shelley was extremely compassionate and willing to help anyone in need and providing support anyway she could. Her family will miss her wittiness & down to earth approach on life.
A special thanks to New City Church in Ankeny where Shelley made several friends. Shelley enjoyed attending women’s bible study with her church family, as well as studying independently at home. She recently professed her faith publicly and was baptized on November 6th, 2022.
A celebration of life will take place at Lakeside Fellowship Church (1121 W Bridge Rd, Polk City, IA) on Saturday, January 7th at 10:30 AM with a light lunch to follow.
