Judy Rae Altizer
Judy Rae Altizer, 80, of Burlington, Iowa passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Oakview Nursing & Rehabilitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. At her request, there will be no public visitation or services.
Judy was born June 4th, 1942 in Waterloo, Iowa to Russel Fuller and Margaret (Copus) Juarez.
Judy spent some time working as a bartender in Gulfport, IL and before she retired spent time working as a cook at St. Francis nursing home. Judy loved to crochet, spent time gardening and watching the river flow by. She had a love of animals, especially her dog Holly Dolly and her parrot Tango. But above all she loved her family and took her greatest joy from being with them.
Judy is survived by her 5 girls, Laurie (Geary) Hanneman of Burlington, IA, Jackie (John) Christofferson of Oquawka, IL, Kathy (Wayne) Eaton of Carman, IL, Yvonne Carr of Virginia and Lori (Ron) Carr of Hutchinson, KS; Sisters: Carol Lipper of Sperry, IA. and Nancy (Charlie) Thurston of Cedar Falls, IA; and Brothers: Robert (Connie) Fuller of Holland, IA, Ron (Susan) Fuller of Ankeny, IA. , Frank (Betty) Williams of Kattawa, Ky., Raymond (Kathy) Juarez of Burlington, IA and Gabriel (April) Juarez of East Moline, IL. And several beautiful Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents Russel Fuller and Margaret Juarez, sister Pauline Walker, brother John Williams and grandson John Hanneman.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview nursing and rehab center, for their care and compassion.
