Barbara Ringo, 75 of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday December 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. No services are planned at this time.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 23 years, Shane; children Dan (Sharon), Bill, Scott and Heather; grandchildren Matthew, Jordan, Zach and Oliver; along with two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Margo (George). We also can’t forget her beloved dog, Nyla Rose.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Charlene and Ed Casey and her brother John.
Barbara was born July 17th, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to John and Charlene McCune. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High. She worked at Wilson’s Packing Plant where she met Ed Casey, who later married Charlene “Chick”. Barbara met Shane Ringo and they married July 3rd, 1999. Barbara loved to bake and to be outside. If you couldn’t find her on the back porch, she was at the casino. She enjoyed fishing with Shane and floating in the pool. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House.
