Norman Eugene McCreary, Age 82, passed away at the VA Hospital in Iowa City, IA on Monday, August 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
A private service will be held in his honor.
Norman was born on December 16, 1939 in Marshalltown, IA. He was the son of the late Louis and Lola (Lane) McCreary. He was a veteran in the US Air Force. On May 1, 1976, Norman married the love of his life, Virginia Lee Counterman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.
Those left to cherish Norman’s memory are his children, Christina (Jim) Hall of Tennessee, and Michael (Dianne) McCreary of Texas; his grandchildren, Bradley McCreary, TX, Jennifer (Nathan) Nauta, of CA, Angela (Shawn) Cambridge of TX, Kelly McCreary of TX, and Brian McCreary of TX; his sister Judith Dymond of Des Moines, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia and his parents.
