Bruce D. Wright, 72, of Atalissa, Iowa, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Bruce was born on August 19, 1949, the son of William “Bill” and Emma (Osterkamp) Wright. He graduated from West Branch High School the class of 1968. He and Deb Bieri were married in West Branch, Iowa. They had one son, Chad. They later divorced.
He worked for Standard Oil for several years in Nichols, Iowa. He retired from ConAgra in Atalissa, Iowa. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He loved a good card game with friends.
On August 26, 1999, he married Trudi Thompson in Memphis, Missouri.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Trudi Wright; son, Chad (Kris) Wright; granddaughter, Emma Wright; stepchildren, Troy Thompson and Lori Roenfeldt; several step-grandchildren; great- grandchildren; sister, Marg (Don) Folkert; brother, Steve Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” and Emma Wright; brothers, Randy Wright and Robert “Bob” Wright; step-daughter, Nicki (Thompson) Hessletine.
