Julie Grimm

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Julie Grimm (Shelton). She passed away April 6th, 2022. A celebration of life is to be held at 6pm Tuesday April 12th, 2022 at Christ Community United Methodist Church in Marion, IA. Visitation will be from 4-6pm that same night. There will be a light meal following the service.

She is survived by her three children Abigail & Eric Heinrich, Brian & Melenie Grimm, Melissa  & Steve Collins. She had 5 grand children, Brady & Star(Partee) Grimm of Phoenix, AZ, Avary Heinrich, Graci Heinrich, Elena Grimm, Cameron Collins & another special delivery is due in November.

Julie Dianne Shelton was born June 27th, 1958 in Lisbon, Iowa to William “Darrell” Shelton & Diana M Shelton(Lang). She joined a brother Kelly & a sister Rita. Soon after she was joined by another sister Doris & a brother Russell. She married Richard Lee Grimm on July 3rd, 1976 in Lisbon Iowa shortly after she graduated high school.

Julie loved the country, cooking & long conversations with her bonus sister, Su. She loved her children & her grandchildren so much. She will be missed immensely by all who knew her because to know her was to love her.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in her honor to the charity of your choosing. Julie loved helping others & that is what she would have wanted.

Mom, we love you & we will miss you every minute we are without you.

Julie was preceded in death by her sister Rita O’Donnell her father Darrell Shelton & her mother Diana Shelton. She also joins her sweet Libbie whom passed in 2014.
