Gordon R. Reeve
Kim, I knew Dr. Reeve while he was the Epidemiology Branch Chief at the Arkansas Department of Health. Dr. Reeve led our Chronic Disease Epidemiology Section to projects that still exist today, such as the series of data decks. We enjoyed his Epi Christmas parties at the house with sweet Peggy and our team lunches at Bruno’s and Cafe Prego. I hope God fills your family with comfort and peace during this difficult time. - Lucy Im, Arkansas
Kim and Oscar- So sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man. I am glad he was a grandpa, it will leave wonderful memories for his grandsons and for you. Ann
Kim, I have very fond memories of Gordon and Peggy. He was so proud of you and your boys. Even after he retired, I enjoyed the occasional phone call or letter from him. May you all be comforted by his memory as you grieve his passing.
Kim and all the family, I remember Gordon with deep gratitude for a decades-long friendship, filled with humor, common interests in sailing and traveling, and fascinating reflections on the practice and evolution of epidemiology. He was a courageous and admirable person, so devoted to his family and friends. Just within his last month of declining health, he sent me a kind note with a copy of "The Boat Who Wouldn't Float," his favorite book, knowing that I would read it with much laughter and find it so uplifting, which I certainly did. I join you in missing him and grieving his passing. Wishing you divine consolation, Elizabeth
