Cynthia Ann Emerich

Cynthia Ann (Corbett) Emerich passed into the arms of her Savior on April 12, 2022, at age 68.

She was born to Julian and Linda Corbett on March 6, 1954, in Iowa City, Iowa. She was the oldest of three children. Cynthia loved life and her faith was most important to her and she was quick to share with all who listened. She loved spending time with her family, church family, her many friends and her beloved cats and dog. She was a light everywhere she went, especially her friends at the National Czech & Slovak Museum, and the Department of Homeland Security whom she talked about often. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was an avid crocheter, gardener and part of the Railway Fan Club.

She is survived by her children Dorian Corbett and Jennifer Hernandez; siblings David Corbett and Frances Corbett. She is the beloved grandmother to Luke Ross, Julian Corbett, Marcux Corbett, Jacqueline Hernandez, Catalina Hernandez, Marisabel Hernandez and great-grandmother to Sabrina Ross and Isaac Primasing.

There will be a Celebration of Life at her church River of Life Church in Cedar Rapids on Monday, April 18, 2022, at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover the costs of her cremation.
