Arlene Marie Ricklefs, 83, of Dunkerton, Iowa, formerly of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Unity Point Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.
Arlene was born April 1, 1938, to William and Dorothy (Colberg) Hunter in Muscatine Iowa. She served as a custodian for many years at the Muscatine Community Schools. On February 8, 1958, she married Richard R. Ricklefs.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Dan) Sutera of Muscatine; sons, William (Kochell) Ricklefs of Dunkerton, Rodney (Linda) Ricklefs of Lake Orion, Michigan; Grandchildren, Eric (Jill) Belzer, Erin (Mark) Kistler, Henry (Jace) Ricklefs, Rachele Ricklefs, Danielle Ricklefs, Kenzley Ricklefs, and Hayden Ricklefs; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; daughter, Desiree Belzer; son-in-law, James Belzer; sisters, Donna VanAcker, Verna Cottrell; brothers, Melvin Hunter, Marvin Hunter.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. She will be deeply missed by all.
