Lou Wallerich Robison

Lou Wallerich Robison, 81, of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Lou was born on September 7, 1940, to Newell and Mildred (Brown) Hoadly in Iowa, where she spent most of her life.  Lou worked for St. Luke’s Hospital for many years while raising her 3 children.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether it be hosting family gatherings and holidays or traveling with her “Partners In Crime” Sharon and Dick Hayes.  Lou had a wonderful sense of humor and took the time to enjoy the beauty of life in those whom she loved most.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Dennis Robison, her children Dan (Lori) Wallerich of Cedar Rapids, IA and Deb Wallerich Detlefsen of Apache Junction, AZ, brother Jerry Hoadly, her grandchildren Nathan (Jenn) Wallerich, Keri Bemer, Aaron (Leah) Bascom, John (Michelle) Wallerich, Jay (Kayla) Wallerich, Desi Wallerich, Shawn Smith, David (Jimiya) Smith, Jeremy Lafler, Kenny (Lisaca) Lafler, and Melissa (Andrew) Merritt.  Also left to cherish her memory are her great and great great grandchildren, as well as other extended family members.

Lou was met in heaven by her parents, her son Randy Wallerich, a great grandson Jason Lafler, and her grandson Joshua Wallerich.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery 4200 1st Ave NE in the Garden of Reflection.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lou’s son Dan Wallerich.
