She was born on May 30th, 1929, in Prairie du Chein, Wisconsin to Harley and Loretta Kramer. Melba was united in marriage to Francis “Hutch” Hutchcroft on September 21, 1957, in Marion, Iowa. She retired from Bell corporation in 1979.
She is survived by her son, Brain (Darcy)Hutchcroft Darling; stepdaughter, Fran Davidson; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her pet cockatoo Bree Hutchcroft.
Melba was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hutch, sister-in-law, Mary Raye Hutchcroft, grandson, Dallas Anderson, and beloved pets, Tommy Thompson, Smokey Bear, and many other furry friends.
