Marc Edward Thompson
Marc Edward Thompson, 66, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Marc was born on November 19, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Luther B. and Mary “Ruth” (Sharp) Thompson. Marc served his country in the United States Navy for over twenty years. He retired as a Chief Gunner’s Mate. Marc was united in marriage to Martha Meza in May of 1981 in Bremerton, WA. He liked to fish and watch football, especially the Seattle Seahawks. Marc also enjoyed his visits to the library. He also liked to spend time with family and on occasion tease his favorites.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, son Marc II, three brothers Ronald, Richard, and Michael, and his nephew Christopher Trimble.
He is survived by two sisters Linda (Russ) Sickles and M. Pat Thompson all of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
