Kenneth "Beep" D. Berns
Kenneth D. “Beep” Berns, 74, of Delhi passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at his home. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Kenneth was born on June 22, 1947, in Garnavillo, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Shirley (Harbaugh) Berns Sr. He was united in marriage to Wilma Hines on June 17, 1967 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Garnavillo.
He loved the outdoors, yard work, and building things. In his younger day, Kenneth enjoyed playing baseball, fishing, and hunting. He also liked to attend church with Wilma and treasured spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Wilma of Delhi, two children Roseann Berns of Delhi and Scott Berns of Las Vegas, NV, four sisters Sue (Edward) Troester of Guttenberg, Patricia (Ron “Jud”) Judkins of Guttenberg, Mary (Gene) Fabert of Independence, MO, and Kathy Berns of Guttenberg, four brothers Wilfred (Terry) Berns of Arlington, WA, Carroll Berns of Guttenberg, Timothy Berns of Independence, MO, and Todd Berns of Waterloo, one brother-in-law Bill Smith, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, four sisters Deborah Berns, Gladys Moser, Gloria Nelson, and Sheila Smith, one brother Terry Berns, and one brother-in-law Bruce Moser.
