Bernice was born in the midst of the Great Depression. A savvy and hardworking woman, she dug ditches, was a plumber and a bartender. She met her challenges with strength and stubbornness. Bernice evolved to become her own woman.
A wise and kindred spirit, she loved to cook, garden, travel, laugh and had the ability to see the funny side of life. Most pronounced was a demeanor of resilience and trustworthiness… She graciously bestowed all of these heartfelt gifts to her family and friends.
Bernice Ray passed of natural causes, at peace and in the presence of love. In the spring, her ashes shall be laid along side family before her at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The world beyond receives an endearing soul. God Bless
