Edward Charles Saathoff
Edward Charles Saathoff, 78 of Marion, Iowa passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Higley Mansion Care Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Edward’s wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Edward Charles Saathoff was born on June 04, 1942 in Manchester, Iowa the son of Edward and Mary (Bohlken) Saathoff. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School. Ed enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. Ed was passionate about Corvettes and enjoyed working on them. Ed never met a stranger and was a friend to many. He was caring, generous, a loving brother, frugal, and above all always had a smile on his face. Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his siblings, Mary Prenosil of Cedar Rapids, IA; John Saathoff of Cedar Rapids, IA; Bill (Jane) Saathoff of Colorado; and Richard (Barbara) Saathoff of Wisconsin; and loving nieces and nephews.
