Theodore (Ted) Allen McAndrews
Theodore (Ted) Allen McAndrews, 76, of Dysart passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2022. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
He was born on November 24, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edward and Roberta (Bell) McAndrews. Ted grew up in the Dysart area and graduated from Dysart-Geneseo High School. He had worked as a computer programmer and later at the casino. Ted was a member of the Dysart Country Club for many years and enjoyed playing golf, cards, etc. with the guys. In retirement, he enjoyed watching golf and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Ted is survived by his wife of 37.5 years Lyn McAndrews, six children Tracie, Tina, Trisha, Dan, Jared, and Sheila, four siblings Jim, Dan, Ken, and Judy, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roberta and Edward McAndrews and his brother Jack.
