Elsie M. Dunigan, died December 1, 2021, in Cedar Rapids. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, and aunts and uncles. She is survived by a daughter and several cousins.
Born 1928 in Amber, Iowa. She attended elementary school in Amber and continued her education in Anamosa. After moving to Cedar Rapids, she lived there the rest of her life.
As a young woman she trained and started working at Mercy Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide, later continuing her education to become a Nurse’s Assistant. She worked at Mercy until retirement. Her favorite post was the pediatrics unit.
She enjoyed crafting, gardening, word puzzles and baking. She was known for her quick wit and generosity.
