Let me start by sending our deepest condolences to you all. Thank you Tara for noting us and letting us know of your Moms passing. As my parents and I talked about the years that you all lived down on N Street we chuckled about how Barb and my Mom knew exactly what us kids were up to whether it was good or not. We talked about how the family started with the church and how all of us girls would go for Sunbeams weekly. How Barb talked me into making my mom her Indian heads when we did ceramics at Sunbeams for her birthday. But the one memory that stuck out the most was when Barb called mom and said they had puppies, do you want one? Of course she knew my mom was quite the dog lover and was saddened by the loss of her previous dog Sugar. Barb told mom, "It's no Saint Bernard and I'm sure it will be a lot smaller, oh heck it's just a misfit mutt, but it would take your love Linda." Of course that is how we got Bandit. Bandit must have known where he originally came from because if he got out of the yard he always head down the street to your house. Bandit was moms dog but dad made Bandit into his hunting dog. My parents loved that dog with all their hearts. Barb knew Mom spoiled Bandit with candy bars daily and was totally shocked when they ran into each other shortly after Bandit passed away that he lived to be over 20 years old with all those snicker bars he had. Barb and mom would visit at times out on the porch usually talking about us girls Lahoma, Kathy, and I and what we were planning up next or about a camping trip that one or the other family was planning on taking. We will never forget the call saying that they were in an accident and Barb was hurt. Mom would go down and visit with Barb after she got home from the hospital. There were so many laughs and conversations back then when we were all neighbors. The hardest memory was when Barb broke the news that you all were moving "not far" Barb would say. "Still walking distance for the girls" she knew our friendship was a life long friendship. We are so very happy to have had the pleasure to get to know your Mother. May she rest in peace and may you always remember her with a smile on her face and the love she had for all in her heart. Remember Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday... unseen, unheard, but always near. so loved, so missed, so very dear. Thinking of you all with Deepest sympathy RIP Barb Mary Bruce Shramek Harold & Linda Bruce & Family
