Jeffery Gaylen Hacker

Jeffery Gaylen Hacker,61, of Marion, Iowa was born September 30th, 1959.  Jeff was called to Christ early Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021, due to complications after battling AML for almost a year. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 29th at Believers in Grace Fellowship located on 8600 C Avenue, Marion, IA 52302. There will be a remembrance reception to follow. Refreshments will be provided but anyone who would like to bring a side dish is welcome.

Jeff was well known to be an avid lover of music and spreading the word of God to people he knew. Jeff loved his family and from goofy stories to little unexpected trinkets Jeff was always trying to find ways to make everyone he was around smile. Jeff was a proud father to 7 children and some of his fondest memories came from the things he was able to teach and experience with them.  He also loved being in front of a crowed preforming songs with his bandmates in Mox Nix. Well, let’s be honest, Jeff would perform anywhere for anybody who loved music and a good laugh as much as he did.

Jeff is survived by his children, Holly Kindred, Jesse Hacker, Kira Hacker, Jeffery Hacker, Aidan Hacker, and JoAnn Hacker. Jeff is also survived by his siblings, Robyn Saylor, Nancy Archibald, Mike Hacker, as well as nieces, Jenny Gazay, Amber Archibald, Brooke McInroy, Ariel Hacker, and nephews, Justin Archibald, Travis McInroy, Randy Hacker, and grandchildren, Joey, Elijah, Jacob, Ella, Joscelynn, Lilliana, and Sula.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gretchen Hacker, his sisters, Hope Hacker and Jane McInroy, and his son, Brandon Hacker.
