Gail R. Foster, 84 years (11 months, 13 days) of Ft. Dodge, IA, died on August 13th, 2021, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Ft. Dodge.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Monday, August 16, 2021, at 2 pm, with a visitation one hour prior at First Church of the Nazarene, 1250 N. 24th St. Ft. Dodge, IA with Pastor Gary Snook officiating.

Gail is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janiece E. Foster; children, Suzzan (Nels) Ferguson, Cedar Rapids, IA, Richard (Malinda) Foster, Pocahontas, IA, and LuAnn (Wayne) Urban, St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, ChaRee (Ben) Headley, Katie (Jay) Lincoln, Angela (Dan) Kerns, Daphne Urban, Annie (Steven) Lass, Daniel Foster and Jackson Foster; great-grandchildren, Duncan and Bella Headley and Abigail and Brooke Kerns; sisters, Sandra Gobeli, Raynette (Tom) McGonegle, Sharon (Gerald) Slotten, Sally Sweeney and Judy Johnson, and his very special Aunt Betty Messerly.  

Gail was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Foster and Lillian (Foster) Purkapile; grandson, Micah Foster; siblings Marvin Foster, Marlene Brockman, and John Ball.

Gail Raymond Foster, the son of Raymond and Lillian (Messerly) Foster was born August 31,1936 in Iowa City, Iowa.

He graduated from Moorland Community Schools in 1955 at Moorland, IA.  Gail served in the Air National Guard for 8 years and worked in local industries for 35 years and was self-employed for 18 years.

Gail became a Christian in 1968.  He worked in church activities for God and His people around the world in all phases of the ministry.

Gail enjoyed his family and church to the fullest of God's blessings and friends.  He enjoyed driving (be it 2, 4, 6 or 18 wheels), boating and camping, and helping people preach.

Gail most enjoyed his true love, his wife Janiece of over 64 years and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
