Marjorie Isabell Swedberg

Marjorie Swedberg, 79, of Rudd, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Following her wishes, no services will be held at this time.

Marjorie Isabell Swedberg, daughter of Ben and Genevieve Schriever (Kornegor), was born November 18th, 1941 in Charles City, IA.  She grew up in Rockford with 6 loving brothers that she helped keep in line!

She married Donald Swedberg, April 1st, 1962 and moved to his family farm in Rudd.  They welcomed two daughters, Pam and Jan.

Marge’s creative and inventive nature kept her busy. She owned a successful upholstery business and was always working on a new craft.  She enjoyed her family, collecting dolls, and being a member of the Rudd United Methodist Church.   On any given weekend, you could find Don and Marge cruisin’ with the Henry Hauler’s F-100 club.  They put a lot of miles on that old red pickup truck and cherished all the friendships they made along the way.

Throughout the years she spent countless hours with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Whether they were taking a road trip to the Mall of America, baking cookies, or just playing cards, no matter the memory, big or small – these were the moments she lived for.

She was greeted in heaven by her husband, Don Swedberg, her parents, Ben and Genevieve Schriever, her mother and father-in-law Gladys and Lyle Swedberg, her brothers Denny and Jimmy Schriever and her sister-in-law, Bonnie.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving daughters, Pam Engels and Jan Trask (Lloyd), her grandchildren Kendra Blattner (Matt), Kiersten Sands (Weston), Trent Trask (Kristine), Chelsie Trask.  Her great grandchildren, Payton and Brayden Blattner and Jaylon Trask.  Her brothers Gary (Mari), Larry (Carol) and Ronnie, and Danny (Rhonda) Schriever, and also sister-in-law Nancy.

Hundreds of bees in the purple clover
Hundreds of birds that go singing by
But only one mother
The whole world over”
