Thomas J. Schreiber, age 61, of Hills, IA, began his ultimate motorcycle ride, "catching the wind" on his way to meet his Lord & Savior in Heaven, the night of September 15, 2020.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at North Park, Lone Tree, Iowa on Saturday, Oct 10th, 11 AM. Social Distancing will be attempted, wearing masks would be appreciated. Please bring your own lawn chair, as seating is limited in the shelter. A light lunch will be served following the service.

Tom was born in Iowa City, Iowa on 10-09-1958 to Arthur J. & Velma A. (Wiese) Schreiber of rural Lone Tree, Iowa.

His education years were spent at Lone Tree Community School, Graduating with the Class of 1977. Following graduation, Tom joined the United States Air Force, to proudly serve his country.

Tom married Joy Munie, of Belleville, IL, 1981. They were blessed with three children, Libby, Katie and Glen, then later divorced. He married Annette (Martin) Allworth of Columbus Junction, IA in 1990, becoming step-father to Sam & Sean Allworth.

Tom enjoyed the great outdoors. Riding his BMW Motorcycle "catching the wind" throughout the USA. Deer & turkey hunting, & enjoyed calling in turkeys with his masterful calls. Fishing for flatheads & catfish along the Iowa River that ran near his rural Columbus Jct home.

Tom is survived by the above mentioned children, and seven grandchildren. His siblings, Pat (Jerry) Sexton of Lone Tree, Jim (Arlene) Schreiber of Riverside, IA, Bill (Nancy) Schreiber of Muscatine, IA and Betty (Bill) Gerot of Iowa City, IA. And many nieces & nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and three sisters, Becky (Don) Green, Kathy (Roger) Slycord & Mary (Dean) Richard, and nephew, Doug (Kari) Green of Nichols, IA

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The American Heart Association or to the Multiple Systems Atrophy Coalition.
