Mick Burr
Oh Bonnie. I send you hugs and love for your painful loss friend. I didnt know him but your tribute makes me sad that I did not. May the beautiful memories, family and friends wrap and hold you with love and joy.
Bonnie, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Mick. I always think of him giggling, and with grin. The tribute to him was really lovely, and really let us all know more about the man he was. Take care of you ----------
I met Mick at the Fareway grocery meat counter while I was working there. After several interactions and conversations he had offered me a job to fix up their backyard landscaping. I spent the summer of my senior year in high-school meeting Mick at 7am to chat while he had his coffee and cigarettes and I wouldn't trade it for a thing. Listening to his stories about being a veteran, his lovely wife Bonnie, and giving advice on life are things I cherished about Mick. Watching Mick become a better person/husband/grandpa as we shared some of the most honest and thoughtful conversations about life were a few of the things I will forever be grateful for. Thank you Mick! Love you Bonnie! -Brix
Bonnie and family: I am so very sorry for your loss. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
Bonnie, we feel for your loss. The touching words in his obituary tell a powerful, bittersweet story of an exceptional someone who clearly was uniquely loved. ...Kim & Susan
I am so very sorry , Bonnie . I didn't even know he was sick . I kind of lost touch with you & Mick after you moved .. I've had many neighbors with the three homes I've owned , but Mick was by FAR the best neighbor I had the honor to know . Mick had problems like the rest of us , but if you were fortune enough to acquire him as a friend , you had a treasure ! Money was tight & my shack needed some work & Mick helped me . Many people say "let me know if you need anything" . Mick was the quiet man who actually helped a neighbor in need . I'll never forget him . God bless & help you through this time Your Daniels St neighbor , Dave Dufoe
Hi! I don't know any of the members of your family, but I came across your loved one's obituary in the Cedar Rapids Gazette and it is one of the most beautiful obituaries I've read. May God grant Francis M. Burr peace. May he be surrounded with God's enduring love. May he know he is forgiven and in Christ set free! And may you as his family find peace as well. I pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, who bore our guilt on the cross, so that we in the afterlife might rise with Him in glory! Amen.
