Vicky Marie Williams

Muldrow, OK – Vicky Marie Williams, 75, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 to join her creator in heaven. Vicky was predeceased by her father, Vernon S. Anderson, her mother Mildred (Cain) Anderson, her brother Robert J. Anderson, and her grandson, Timothy M. Gwaltney, Jr.  She will be deeply missed by her children, Sheila (Chuck) Arnel of Whitmore, CA; Joyce (Michael) Faville of Geneseo, NY; and Vernon (Deanna) Williams of San Antonio, TX, and her seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Vicky was born in 1944 and grew up in Dallas, TX.  She married Arlo Williams and moved to Iowa after completing her Associates Degree at Texas Women’s University. She lived in Parkersburg and helped run the family farm until 2009 when they divorced and she moved to her final home of Muldrow.  There in Muldrow, she found a loving church community who accepted her and loved her ability to talk to strangers who very quickly became her friends. She also had many friends online, around the world.

To those who knew here she was known as “mother”, “grandmother”, “best friend”, “ruthless competitor”, “tough”, “strong”, “honest”, “compassionate”, “helpful”, will be “deeply missed”.

 A memorial service will be held at the Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow on Aug. 01, 2020 at 10 a.m. She was an active member in their church family and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church at 100801 OK-64B, Muldrow, OK 74948,  % Cooper’s Fund (8 yr. old boy battling leukemia) or to the CPL Joshua L Ware Marine Corps League at S. 4721 Rd., Muldrow, OK 74948-6993.
