Robert was born to Robert J. and Elda Lindsay at home. He attended Barry school district and graduated from Platte City school in Platte City, MO in 1964. Robert worked as a laborer at various jobs. One of Roberts love was car shows. He showed his ’97 red Ford Ranger from ‘98 through ’13. He also lived being outdoors in nature. Robert married Twila Hayworth on October 29th, 1966. They had 2 children together, Robert W. and Penny D. Lindsay.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James and Gary; and 2 nephews. He is survived by his wife, Twila; 2 children, all of Harlan, IA; brother, Dennis (Hella) Lindsay of Lawson, MO; sisters, Wanda Eacket and Linda Eilson; sisters-in-law, Mary Lindsay and Pat Lindsay, all of Kansas City, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial was held on August 22nd, 2020 at Church of Christ, 812 Baldwin St., Harlan, IA at 10am.
