James A. Goodrich

James A. Goodrich of Wellman passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at his home, at the age of 94.  

Jim was born on February 14, 1926 in Harvard, Iowa, the son of Ray and Zelpha Goodrich.

Jim was a hard worker, loved to help others, and was an avid gardener.  He was a member of Asbury United Methodist church in Wellman.  He had an Honorary Life Membership in the Oil Chemical and Atomic Workers International Union, having worked for Williams Brothers Pipeline for 44 years.  He was also a Volunteer of the Year for the State of Iowa several years ago.

Jim was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Donna, daughter Becky plus 3 brothers and 5 sisters.  He leaves the following children:  Jimmy (Susie) Goodrich of Bloomfield KY, Mike (Pat) Goodrich of Lincoln Nebraska, Nancy (Patrick) Shanahan of Cedar Bluffs, NE, Pat Carney of Lincoln NE, and Richard (Bert) Goodrich of Eagle NE. Also surviving are his brother Bob of Wellman, sister Pat Carson of Oseola IA, sister Micky Oberg of Marshfield WI, plus many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

At Jim's request, there will be no visitation or memorial service.
