Doris I. Eivins

Doris I. Eivins, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at her home in Stuart, Iowa beside her loving husband, Gordon.

Doris was a life-long native of the state of Iowa. She was born 10/17/1939, in Nevada,  Iowa to Ike and Bessie Berry. In Nevada, is where she also met the love of her life,  husband Gordon Eivins. Gordon and Doris were married on 9/8/1958 celebrating 62 years  of which they were blessed with a large family consisting of 8 children, 22 grandchildren, and 45 great grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her loving spouse, Gordon Eivins, 8 children, Ronnie Eivins (spouse Nancy Eivins), Roger Eivins (deceased spouse Lois Eivins), Vicky Mylan (spouse John Mylan), Richard Eivins, Brenda Frank (spouse John Frank), Doug Eivins, John Eivins (spouse Sandra Eivins), Tammy Eivins, and brother Ray Berry, many grandchildren, great  grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Doris joins her father Ike Berry, mother Bessie Berry, brother Robert Berry, sister Marge Rice, brother Larry Berry, and brother Marvin Berry.

Even though Doris had a very large family she always had enough love, guidance, and  time for anyone and everyone that entered her life. She loved to garden and spending  time with her family. Doris's guidance, laughter, and large smile will be greatly missed by us all, but we take great comfort in knowing she will be now providing all of this from  above sitting with our Lord.

"When you speak of her, speak not with tears, for thoughts of her should not be sad. Let memories of the times you shared give you comfort, for her life was rich because of you."
