Arlene Frieda Ruchotzke
Your family was our neighbor north of Lost Nation for many years. At least you could spend Arlene's last days with her in her home. Our sympathy to your family.
Sandy, Sheryl, Linda and your families: We just received the Scoop and saw your mom's obituary. Our deepest sympathy. Arlene was a delightful woman who loved Elmer and each of you so much. She was such a positive person. We pray God's love and strength for each of you. Peace & Love, Paul & Dottie
I want to share a memory with you. In 1947 Elmer was working for my parents (Harold and Pauline oldorf) on our farm near Stanwood. In those days he was known as our “hired man”. He was living in the spare bedroom above our kitchen. After they were married they lived in that one room for a few weeks. I was 13 at that time and I will never forget how much they much they were in love. I can also remember how easily they would laugh and really enjoy life. My parents continued to visit them when they began their own farming. Of course I grew up, but kept track of them via my parents. Enjoy your heritage! They were neat people!
Linda & Marty, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Arlene, Linda, I heard you and your siblings were sitting vigil for these past several weeks. It must come as a relief to know your mom is no longer suffering, yet losing a mother must be like nothing else one can experience. So many memories to cherish...and Linda if she was anything like you, she must have been a “bucket of fun!” My heart goes out to you all. Take Care. Carrie
