Janet Marie Carroll
Janet Marie Carroll, age 60, of West Des Moines, Iowa passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at the MercyOne Johnston Hospice Care. She was born on December 19, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa to parents Calvin and Laila (Gabriel) Carroll.
Janet was a kind and caring person who never knew a stranger and lived life fully. She loved her family and her many friends dearly. Art was one of Janet’s passions which lead her on many creative and artistic endeavors. Among her favorite things in life were the color purple, the Iowa State Fair, kaleidoscopes, and live theater performances. Janet’s lifelong devotion to her cats (Sheena, Megan, Daphne, Miranda, and Katrina), however, proved to be her greatest joy in life. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Janet is survived by her brother, Jeffrey Carroll, her nephews, Jason (Kate) Carroll and Scott (Katherine) Carroll. She was preceded in death by her father Calvin Carroll and her mother Laila (Gabriel) Carroll.
