Janice Marie Krause

Janice Marie Krause, 83, died February 12, 2020 at Greene County Hospital Long Term Care. Janice was born April 10, 1936 in Dayton, Iowa to Roland Thomas Cummings and Irma Margaret Baker Cummings. Janice attended school in Grand Junction, Iowa.  She married Richard Michael Krause November 6, 1954.  They raised two sons, Jeffrey and Randy.  They owned and operated the Grand Junction Trailer Court for many years.  Dick and Janice moved to Idaho in 1978 where they enjoyed living in the mountains.  Janice loved to fish and always enjoyed rock hunting.  Later, they moved back to Iowa and resided in Jewell, and after Dick passed away in 1996, Janice resided in Jefferson. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Linda) Krause of Des Moines and Randy (Jackie) Krause of Boise, Idaho.  Janice has 6 grandchildren, Mollie (Joe) Jorgesen, Jake (Kelly) Krause, Jenna (Tyler) Weltz, Becky (Shayne) Woodland, Angie Knott, and Seth WhiteEyes and 11 great grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Merle Alvord, brothers Jim Cummings, Larry Cummings, Herold Cummings, and Bob Cummings, and sisters Betty Moranville and Doris Moranville, and her husband of 41 years, Richard Krause. 

The family wishes to offer a sincere thank you to the Greene County Hospital Long Term Care and to Hospice of Iowa for all the care and compassion they gave to Janice.  A special thank you to Debra Moranville Kinsey for all her love and support that she so diligently offered. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Grand Junction Cemetery.
