Bonnie Ellen Parsons

Bonnie Ellen Parsons 73 , of Fremont, passed away Saturday February 29, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was born toEdward Adolph and Delores Louise (Woten) Smith, July 19, 1946, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was united in marriage toJack Parsons, August 13, 1976.

Bonnie worked for the Ottumwa Community School District until her health forced her to retire.She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of all of the students she worked with.

Bonnie was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, Ottumwa Iowa. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother.She loved the outdoors, camping, and spending time with her family- especially her grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Jack Parsons, a brother Douglas Smith, of Fremont, Iowa, four children: James Kempf, of Fremont, Iowa; Charlie Kempf, of Devils Lake, North Dakota; Susan Kempf, of Bloomfield, Iowa, and DeAnna(Daniel) Goodman, of New Sharon, Iowa. Grandchildren, Curt, Cari, Drake, Hayden, Ally, Kimberly and April, as well as great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jack Smith, a sister Shirley Hare, and a grandson Chris Hudson.

Per her request, her body has been cremated and there will be no services.A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
