Sally M. Davis, 84 of Hiawatha died Thursday December 31, 2020 at her home. At Sally’s request there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband Larry; two sons Jeffrey (Pat) of Hiawatha, and Douglas (Kathy) of Hawkeye. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Izzi (Aaron) Byrd, Marshall (David) Sunnes, Brian (Natalie) Davis and Tara (Todd) Dunford; seven great grandchildren, daughter -in-law Greta Davis of West Union, and a special friend Lois Bennett of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mike and Dan, six sisters, and two brothers.
Sally was born on January 2, 1936 in Oelwein the daughter of Ray and Georgia (VanHouten) Berg. She married Larry H. Davis on May 5, 1956 in Oelwein.
Sally was a teacher at the Hiawatha Pre School for several years and a member of the Hope United Church of Christ in Hiawatha.
Sally enjoyed travel with Larry, taking care of her flower garden, and especially the time spent with her beloved family and friends.
Sally will forever be remembered as a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother sister and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fun has been established.
