Roger Ray Steggall, Sr.

Roger Ray (Rog) Steggall Sr., 79 of Fairfax, Iowa passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Dennis and Donna Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.  Due to COVID-19 and travel restrictions, no services will be held at this time. Iowa Cremation is entrusted with the arrangements.   A memorial fund has been established in Rog’s name.  

Rog was born Dec 14,1941 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Joe and Florence (Ratigan) Steggall. He moved to Chicago at 16 with his family and graduated from Lyons Township High School.  Rog attended Illinois University and Lyons Township Jr. College.  He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict and was a military policeman for 10 years.  Rog was employed at Alcoa Aluminum, and Reynolds Metals District Sales Manager.  He lived in Chicago, Cleveland, Littleton, Colorado and Overland Park, Kansas before returning to Cedar Rapids.  He was united in marriage to Caryle Pazdernik on May 1, 2010 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Rog will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 
 
He is survived by his spouse; Caryle Pazdernik-Steggall, Fairfax, Iowa; a son, Roger Ray Steggall Jr. of Woodland Park, Colorado; step-daughter, Staci (Darren) Bjurstrom of West Des Moines, Iowa; step-son, Richard L Pazdernik, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; step-son, Mark E. Pazdernik of Fairfax, Iowa; step-grandchildren, Brittani (Aaron) Briley of West Des Moines, Iowa; Haleigh (Neal) Wiebers of Grimes, Iowa; Hannah K. Pazdernik of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; Courtney Bjurstrom of Phoenix, Arizona; and Nicole Bjurstrom of Johnston, Iowa;  step great granddaughter, Oaklynn Lou Briley of West Des Moines, Iowa; siblings, Patricia Oler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Charlotte Miller of Farmington Hills, Michigan; Joseph (Dawn) Steggall of Lincoln, Nebraska; Margaret Dumas of Marion, Iowa; Don (Deb) Steggall of Livonia, Michigan; Bryne and Andy Steggall, and Holly all of, Texas; sisters-in-law’s, Mary Lou Condon, Joan & Bob Shields, Cheryle Steggall and Sandy Vosmek; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. 

He was preceded by his parents; half-brothers, Lyle Steggall and Michael Steggall; two brother in law’s, Charlie Miller and Dallas Oler; and a cousin, Larry Steggall.
