Larry T. Finley
My brother, Ken Bracy and I are sorry for your loss. We have been reminiscing about our childhood years living in the Third Avenue apartments and what fun we had with Larry, Karen and Diane. I hope your childhood memories bring you comfort.
Sending Larry’s family and friends my sincere condolences at his sudden death. I was so shocked to hear the news. I have known Larry since Jefferson High School, and we got together now and then while students at the University of Iowa, too. I’ve always cared about Larry, and I’ll miss catching up with him now and then. While the world will miss this dear man, I’ll keep good memories of Larry in my heart.
We wanted to offer our condolences to Larry's family. We first met Larry quite a few years ago (I would guess 20 to 25 years) at Slumberland. Larry was a straight shooter and we appreciated his honest advice and candor. We also appreciated the fact that regardless of where in the store (i.e. living room, bedroom, dining room, etc.) we happen to be looking, he was very knowledgeable and didn't introduce any pressure. We didn't see Larry anymore at Slumberland and wondered where he was working. Ironically, we ran into him at Slumberland. We're not sure he remembered us, but we acted like we had run into a friend that we hadn't seen for sometime. Throughout the years we would run into Larry in the grocery store and he would gladly chat for a few minutes. We were very fortunate to have met Larry all those years ago and he will be missed.
We are so sorry for your loss. We knew Larry as a neighbor and in business. He was always fun, open, and never failed to stop and banter with us whenever our paths crossed.
