Daniel Lee Williams

Daniel Lee Williams, 65 of Knoxville, IA entered the gates of heaven Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Danny was born on March 3,1955 in Morris, Minnesota the son of George and Betty Williams. He attended Lincoln Highschool and Tech Highschool in Des Moines, IA. Danny was jack of all trades but master to none. He was hard working and dedicated to any job that he took on through the years. Danny loved and cherished his family more than anything in life. He was one hell of a cook which he passed that on to his girls. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushrooming hunting, gardening, spending hours mowing the yard, bonfires, tinkering with cars, taking his kids out to eat every chance he got. He loved his old Western shows and his fat cat Cy. Naps & snacky snacks were his thing!

Danny is survived by his children James (Mary) Lyons, Daniel (Ashley) Lyons, Heather (Neal) Kloberdanz, Randi (Clay) Gillson, Michelle (Stephanie) Williams, Shannon (Dale) Giles, Amy (Jeremiah) Johnson, Brandon (Tami) Williams, 33 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sisters Barbara (Mike) Hitchcock, Debbie (Garry) Baker, Terrie (Dave) Chapman, Christine Blanchard, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Betty Williams, brother Buck Williams, and nephews Tyler Hitchcock & Joshua Smith.

Danny Lee was loved by many and will be greatly missed by the people who blessed his life.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines, Suncrest Hospice, and his Dr. Megan Lehr for the exceptional care that they provided him. The compassion and love that they showed our father and our family will forever be appreciated. Most of all, thank you Stephanie Williams for being Dad’s angel here on earth.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
