I am so so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was such a good guy and so good to work with at Norand/Intermec, always smart and fair. My prayers for his family.

Nancy, I am incredibly sorry for the loss of Mike. It was truly a pleasure to work with side by side with Mike and there was never a dull moment! He came in every morning with a smile and revved us up by calling us the “A” Team back in the dispensary. He was the best people that I have ever worked with and I am going to miss him immensely. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. -Mary Mosher

I had the pleasure of knowing Mike at Norand and later as a neighbor. He was a gracious and talented person. My sympathies to Nancy and the entire family.

While I never had the pleasure of meeting Mike, I was so concerned to learn of his diagnosis some time ago and very sad to hear of his passing. Mike supported our work for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes with JDRF. He donated to our Ride to Cure Diabetes year after year. My sister in law, Suzanne Vercande has the pleasure of being a neighbor and friend. We feel like we know Mike through her description and a few letters we exchanged. Much love to Nancy and their beautiful family. We are so sorry.

Mike was my dear brother who I loved very much. I remember the good times and will never forget them. He had many illnesses when he was very small, polio, meningitis and some minor surgeries. But over came all of them. He will be missed but not forgotten, RIP Michael. Love your big sister Dawn

Both Virginia and I knew Mike at Norand/Intermec. I worked for him directly part of that time and truly liked and respected him and enjoyed our conversations when we ambled at Saturday morning FunRunners. We will miss him but keep many great memories. Our deepest sympathy to you all.

I’m heart broken over hearing of Mike death. He was a fellow golfer who greeted everyone with cheer and a bit of humor. Your immense loss is shared by many.

Dear Nancy and the extended Abel family - we are so very sorry for your loss and know you are heartbroken. Mike was the epitome of a gentleman in every sense of what that term means. You were all so very lucky to have had his kind and loving influence in your lives, and we hope that brings some small measure of peace.

Mike was a Regis High School Eau Claire, Wisconsin class of 1966 PILLAR. He was a consummate gentleman. Born, Mike’s mold was broken. When he met you, he genuinely was interested and cared about you. Mike will be so missed by all he engaged with. He was such a joy! Our thoughts and prayers for Nancy, and their beautiful family. Our deepest sympathies, Steve and Gail Potter

Nancy and Family, During the time we have been neighbors, it has been obvious what a special person Mike was. He made it a point to meet everyone in the neighborhood and he always knew what was happening with everyone. We will miss his kindness and caring nature, and spending time chatting on our walks when he was out with Callie. He always spoke so highly of his family and loved ones. Take care and please know that so many neighbors love and support you during this difficult time.

Nancy, I don't think I have ever met a man as gentle and smart as Mike. We worked together for the the better part of the 11 years he worked for Rockwell International and missed him when he left the company. When you lived next door to Wilfred and Lillian Zipperer. their son commented to me how nice and friendly you both were. God bless you and your family. Mike will truly be missed. Dave
