Michael Holveck
Jackie, my sympathies and prayers go out to you today as I read Mike's obituary in the Gazette. I know his health issues have been long and difficult for you. May God give you comfort in the days ahead. Dee Ann
I was best friends with Mike during our Drake University days. He was not only a very handsome young man, he had an easy going personality that people adored. He was fun and quick with a wry observation. I'm so happy that we met twice long after graduating to walk around Drake and stir up our memories. He was a fine man.
I was ver sad to read of Mike’s passing. I was very fortunate to be a friend of Mike’s throughout junior high at Franklin and high school at Washington. I graduated a year ahead of Mike. My connection with Mike was through band. He and I both played tenor saxophone and, while at Franklin, played for my father who was the band director. I am sorry I lost touch with Mike after high school and remember visiting him at his home near Daniels Park during our junior high and high school years. Mike had a great personality with an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
The Van family wishes to extend our most sincere condolences to Mike's family. The Holveck's were members of my dad's church. I played on the church basketball team with Mike the year we won the league championship. So sorry that he suffered so. Our prayers go out to the family.
This message is for Randy: Ken and I were sorry to read of your brother's death, Randy. We hope you and your sons are doing well even as you mourn the loss of Jane in your lives. We hope you can take comfort from your family as you remember the life of your brother . Kathy Nathan
