Marian Francis (Hubbard) Kuennen, died from Parkinson’s related complications on Friday, September 13th, 2019 at Parkview Manor in Reinbeck, IA. Services will be held at Heartland Vineyard Church, 3211 Titan Trail in Waterloo on Friday, October 25 for a gathering at 2:00 followed by a memorial service at 4:00. 

She was born September 11, 1940, in Waterloo, daughter of Harry and Francis Pedersen Hubbard. United in marriage to Allan A. Kuennen on November 29, 1958. 

She graduated in 1958 from Ossian High School. Graduated from Pitzi’s Beauty School in 1959. She was a school bus driver (including daily routes, class trips, sporting events) for Hudson Community School from 1968-2005. Volunteered as Organizer for the Park/Rec Program, T-ball/Little League Programs, Swimming Lessons and Open Swim Bus Driver, and hauled anhydrous tanks for the Hudson Coop for over 30 years. Before retiring Marian and Allan worked for Porta-Vet from 2005-2008 and enjoyed traveling the Continental US and Canada as they worked.

Marian enjoyed hosting and cooking meals for large family holiday gatherings. Her many hobbies included: volleyball, gardening, fishing, card club, playing scrabble, reading romance novels, traveling, golfing, bowling, in-home beauty salon for family/friends and watching Iowa Hawkeye Sports. She opened her home and heart to those in need and comfort; leaving a lasting memory for so many.

Survived by: her husband, from Dunkerton (formerly Hudson); 3 daughters, Lynn Kuennen (Lance Roser) Eugene, OR; Lori Behrens (Mike) Bellevue, IA; Lisa Kuennen (Bill Horn) Dubuque, IA. 9 Grandchildren, Nima Moradian (Natasha); Stephanie Fredrick (Jason); Sarah Behrens (Michael Hogle); Megan Bradley (Jonathan); Chelsea Behrens; Jordan Roser; Kamron Wilson (Christine); Conner Roser (Andrea); and Isabella Cuevas. 12 Great Grandchildren; Karli, Jacob, Jenna, Olivia, Elijah, Gemma, Savannah, Miles, Henry, Emilene, Beau and Anelise. Sister Kay Donlan (Jerome) Calmar, IA; Brother Steve Hubbard (Lindy Borske-Hubbard) Decorah, IA, Nieces, Nephews, extended family and friends. 

Preceded by: her parents and grandson Blake Wilson.
