Shirley Jean Covington, 82, of Goodell passed away on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at Cattleman's at the Club at 1 pm Saturday October 12th.
Her family includes her husband of 61 years, Ray; four children, Son Randy Covington of Eldon MO, Daughter Laurie Winfrey, (Loren), of Ames IA, Son Larry Covington of Maui HI, Daughter Rhonda Dishman of Clarion IA. Step Son, Ronny Benson (Marie) of Vinton, IA; Niece, Jeanette Tate and 17 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luther Tate and Anna Evans, Brother Luther Tate, Daughter Susie Covington, Son William Ray

Shirley was born in Clarion, IA December 19th, 1936. Married her lifelong sweetheart Ray on October 16th, 1958. They made their home in Belmond where Shirley was a Beautician for 21 years. She attended NIAC and received her AS in business. She enjoyed spending her time with family.
