William and Jimme Rae Nolan

Jimmie Rae Nolan, 70, of Chariton, Iowa, passed away on April 16, 2019 at the Legacy Lodge Circle of Life hospice house in Chariton.  William Robert Nolan died of a broken heart shortly after, May 25, 2019 at their home in Chariton.  A memorial service will be held Saturday June 1, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa. A reception will follow at the Senior Center. 

Jimmie R. Lingle was born February 9, 1949 to Frank Russell and Rose Lorraine (Logston) Lingle in Des Moines, Iowa. On March 17, 1973, she married the love of her life, William Robert Nolan in Des Moines. She graduated from the Iowa School of Beauty. She enjoyed canning, gardening, spending time with family, and collecting cookie jars and snowmen.  She also enjoyed fishing. 

William R. Nolan was born October 16, 1943 to Robert and Margaret (McElvogue) Nolan in Des Moines, Iowa. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.  William went on to work for Infomax for 35 years, retiring in 2003. His hobbies included fishing, car restoration, working on computers, surfing the internet and of course being a practical joker. 

William and Jimmie are survived by their daughters Jean Ann Christenson of Chariton, Tina Marie Nolan of Surprise, AZ, and Teresa Sue (Shawn) Roush of Chariton; grandchildren Mark Alan (Annette) Stansbery, Ashley Jean (Michael II) Ferguson, Travis Anthony (Christy) Hernandez-Nolan, Cody Dean Robert Roush, and Cory Rae Ryan (Delaney) Roush; great-grandchildren Madison Marie, Kyle Martin, Jenna Dae, Kobain Alan, Antonio Giovanni and and Briar Rose. Jimmie is survived by her sister Betty Robinson of Osceola, Iowa. William is survived by his siblings Maureen England of Lucas, Pat Mackey of Humeston, Bill (Jude) Enos Jr. of Des Moines, Judy (James) Wolfe of Des Moines, Debora (John) Kufner of Des Moines and Charles (Helen) Enos of Chariton. They loved their pets that they leave behind and affectionately referred to them as their furbabies; Fred, Jake, Sissy and Annie. They were preceded in death by their parents. William was preceded in death by his siblings Barbara Ann, Sharon Kaye, Pamela Jean Hall and daughter Brandi Nicole Nolan.  Jimmie Rae was preceded in death by a host of siblings, nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank Jimmie’s special friend Carol Umble as well as her special Amish Friends, David and Sarah Miller and their son Jimmy B. Memorial contributions can be directed to the family for a memorial to be decided at a later date.
