Dori Anne Johnson age 78, passed away on May 5th, 2019 of complications from a fall. Dori was a recent resident at Bartels Lutheran Home in Waverly, Iowa. She was born on April 29th, 1941 in St. Louis, Mo. and was predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Edwin Laubersheimer, and sister Margaret of St. Louis, Mo. She is survived by her brother David, and by her two children, son Marcus and wife Amanda Brewer and daughter Linda and husband Guadalupe Garcia. Grandchildren include; Jessica Stigler, Phillip Santoli, April Garcia, Amanda Garcia, Joshua Brewer, Madison Brewer, Kai Mittan,Kadin Waddell and great grandchildren; Roman Stigler, Aydan Stigler, and Julianna Stigler.
Dori was a loving and wonderful mother and grandmother and had a beautiful, generous spirit. She encountered adversity at times throughout her life but always managed to make the best of the situation and move upward and onward. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life Event will be held on May 11th, 2019 from 12-4pm at Cedar Bend County Park. Signs will be posted.
