Kathleen K. McClurg, 73, of Marion passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy surrounded by her loving family. A private interment will be at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Kathleen Kay Ballou was born on February 20, 1946; the daughter of Howard and Helen (Richards) Ballou. She was united in marriage to Carroll Robert McClurg on June 30, 1968 in Washington, Iowa.
Kathleen worked as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and baking.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Robert; children, Jennifer McClurg of Charlotte, NC, and Matthew (Alexis) McClurg of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Evan and Abigail; and brother Jon (Wanda) Ballou of Fairfax. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother David.
Kathleen’s family would like to thank Mercy Hospital, the Hall Perrine Cancer Center, and Mercy Hospice for their exceptional care and compassionate staff.
